Conor McGregor lashes out at Dana White for stripping Irishman of UFC

He was stripped of the featherweight belt two weeks later. Holloway has won 12 straight UFC fights.

With no confirmation from the Irishman about a return to the UFC, White finally informed the face of MMA he will be stripped of his title, but McGregor quickly responded. Admittedly, Nurmagomedov was surprised that Holloway would accept a fight in a new weight class on less than a week's notice.

"About Conor? I don't remember when he fight last time", Nurmagomedov said.

Conor McGregor and a group of men stormed a UFC event on Thursday and started a brawl by attacking a bus carrying several fighters.

Tony Ferguson confirmed his injury via a post on social media which says he sustained a possible ACL tear and might have to undergo surgery to recover. After all, this was the fourth time that Ferguson vs. Nurmagomedov had been scheduled and the fourth time it had been canceled due to injury. And this time, for the undisputed lightweight championship.

"For Max, it's going to be long night", a supremely confident Nurmagomedov (25-0) said.

Details are still breaking on what happened, but expect McGregor to be a major part of the UFC 223 festivities, and this incident to be a major story over the coming days.

White added that Ferguson's interim belt is "going away" and that the victor of Nurmagomedov-Holloway will be crowned the new champ.

Winners, losers from Brandin Cooks trade: Patriots have options
But even with the Rams now out of the picture, it's unlikely the rumors surrounding a potential Beckham trade will cease. The 34th overall selection came in the trade in which quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was sent to the San Francisco 49ers .

He said: "No interim champ".

But Nurmagomedov then claimed McGregor had said NO to a last-minute fight against him when asked at the weekend.

Footage captured by fans and fellow fighters saw McGregor and his team entering the building, unauthorized, in Brooklyn and making their way to the parking lot where buses were transporting fighters from the arena to their hotel.

The Irishman has always been expected to lose the belt he won at UFC 205 back in November 2016, having not fought in the cage since then and instead taking on Floyd Mayweather Jr in the ring.

The New York Police Department allegedly issued a warrant for McGregor's arrest and have told airport authorities to forbid the reigning lightweight champion and his crew from leaving New York State, TMZ first reported.

"You's'll strip me of nothing you's do nothing c-ts", he wrote. Not that McGregor ever needs help selling a fight, but that matchup now sells itself.

Ferguson had been the 155-pound interim champion in McGregor's absence and remained the No 1 contender in the division. White said trash cans, dollies and bike racks were tossed at the bus, one of the objects almost hitting Rose Namajunas, UFC's women's strawweight champ who is slated to fight Joanna Jedrzejczyk on Saturday.

The 29-year-old star did not appear to take the news well.
