Reuters reports that ratings data on Wednesday showed that the premiere of the rebooted series starring original cast members Roseanne Barr and John Goodman was the most-watched show on USA television on Tuesday night with an audience of 18.2 million Americans.
It is the show's 11th season, but with a 21-year gap since its initial nine-season run.
After a 21 year absence, Roseanne returned to the airways on ABC with the original cast and shattered the season ratings. Trump even called star Roseanne Barr, who is a Trump supporter on and off the show, to congratulate her on the high ratings.
Davi, known best for playing Bond villain Franz Sanchez in "License to Kill" as well as roles in "The Goonies" and "Die Hard", said Roseanne Barr's program was able to "communicate to the American people something that's happening around their living rooms".
On Thursday in Northeastern Ohio, Trump boasted about the "Roseanne" ratings and said he had called Barr. The revival kicked off with a whopping 5.1 rating in the Adults 18-49 demo and averaged 18 million viewers, and that's before delayed viewing numbers were factored in. "And it was about us!".
The return of the show has been a controversial topic among viewers since Roseanne Barr has been open about her political agenda and her support for the current president.
Davi added that it is important that people that can afford to speak up in Hollywood do so.
Barclays pays $2bn to settle USA mortgage investigation
It relates to Barclays' underwriting and issuance of residential mortgage-backed securities ( RMBS ) between 2005 and 2007. Barclays will pay the penalty in exchange for dismissal of the DoJ's complaint against the British lender.
"This is 100% in Trump's sweet spot", New York Times TV critic James Poniewozik tweeted Thursday.
Conservative radio host Ben Shapiro, on the other hand, said the show fails to represent Trump voters because it "recasts Trump voters as social Leftists who just disagree about economics".
She has also been accused of tweeting racist and Islamaphobic views.
Once there's a little more news in regards to Roseanne season 11, CarterMatt will certainly let you know!
Barr has said she voted for Trump.
But for many, Barr's cryptic message, which came on the heels of her wildly successful sitcom reboot, appeared to be a callback to earlier mentions she has made of the "QAnon" conspiracy theory.
