After a fabulous 55-run knock by opener Kusal Mendis, Indian bowlers did a great job to restrict Sri Lanka to 152/9 in 19 overs in the rain-affected Nidahas Trophy match at the R Premadasa stadium here on Monday.

An upbeat Indian side will take on a bruised Sri Lankan outfit in the fourth Twenty20 worldwide (T20I) of the ongoing tri-series at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Monday.

He snared but Rohit and Shikhar Dhawan (8) in his first two overs but Suresh Raina (27) with two boundaries and a six helped India to 50 for two in the powerplay.

But KL Rahul who was included in the XI for the first time in the series along with Suresh Raina steadied the ship for India.

But thereafter Kusal Mendis took the the Indians bowlers to task in Upul Tharanga's (22) company as the duo added 62 runs for the third wicket to help Sri Lanka reach 94 for two after 10 overs.

In even further punishing fashion, Bangladesh won by a total of five wickets, and recorded their highest ever T20 score of 216/5.

Phillies, Arrieta agree on multi-year deal
One of the wildest stats on Arrieta is that he hit homers at a greater rate (1.89%) than he allowed (1.81%) the last four seasons. Arrieta played the past five seasons with the Cubs and was a key member of the 2016 World Series championship winning team.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim's unbeaten, match-winning half-century inspired Bangladesh to return to winning ways in the Nidahas T20I tri-nation series. Really happy to receive the award.

Shardul Thakur recorded figures of 4/27 against Sri Lanka. It was a really good wicket but as a bowling unit, we did not execute well.

Pandey and Karthik then took over, largely shunning risks and playing with calculated aggression to get India over the line.

Spinners Yuzvender Chahal and Washington Sundar will again be key in the middle overs.

The Mumbai speedster, who employed knuckleball on a number of occasions against Sri Lanka went on to say that he has learned the delivery all by himself.

But thereafter, Manish and Karthik stitched an unbeaten 68-run partnership for the fifth wicket to guide India home comfortably. With Team India already without regular starters including the likes of rested captain Virat Kohli and wicket-keeper MS Dhoni, Sri Lanka will be without their captain Dinesh Chandimal.
