Lucas and his family live in Dayton, OH. In 2017, the logo was refreshed to pay homage to the original black-and-white sketch of the first Gerber baby, Ann Turner Cook, who just celebrated her 91st birthday.

"He may have Down syndrome, but he's always Lucas first".

His mother, Cortney Warren, entered the contest on a whim, NBC's "Today" reported.
