HEAT Acquire Dwyane Wade

The trade agreement between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat was announced Thursday.

The Cavs sent guard Derrick Rose and forward Jae Crowder to the Jazz for forward Rodney Hood.

As the National Basketball Association insider notes, this was Cleveland's way of catering to Wade after it acquired three younger perimeter options in the above-mentioned trades.

After dealing Isaiah Thomas and Channing Frye to the Lakers on Thursday, the team made more moves. But before today's National Basketball Association trade deadline, Miami's situation wasn't looking too promising.

This is an especially interesting move considering the close personal relationship between Wade and LeBron James.

Cleveland wanted to get younger and more athletic.

Major Senate Budget Deal
Rand Paul is holding up a vote on the Senate budget deal, accusing Republicans and Democrats of "spending us into oblivion". One complication is House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California, who was part of the negotiations on the agreement.

The final deal was sending Dwyane Wade back to the Miami Heat for a protected second-round pick.

Wade played from 2003 to 2016 in Miami, playing the 2016-2017 season in Chicago and this past season in Cleveland.

"We're big fans of Dwyane Wade", Cooper said. Over the remainder of the year, numberFire's models project him to record 11 points and 2.5 3-pointers with 3.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. They sit at 29-26 and are now No. 7 in the East. Wade's veteran presence will help a rather young array of guards in Miami.

After reaching a buyout with the Chicago Bulls last offseason, Wade considered the Heat among several potential destinations.

With six-year veteran shooting guard Dion Waiters out for the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery to fix a lingering ankle injury, Wade will nearly immediately bring life back to the Miami Heat, whose light has dimmed out after a hot start to the season.
