PS4 people, you'll be able to sample the delights of fighting Worlds beastie Nergigante from 18th January until the 22nd.

The steel dragon Kushala Daora is a beast with a body covered in metal plates and has the power to keep hunters at bay by generating wind storms around itself.

Devilijho is a wyvern first seen in Monster Hunter 3 and will be the first of the Elder Dragons to be released. From what Capcom has been showing, it's safe to assume that the game is packed with a decent amount of content and a world where players will be spending quite some time in.

I think that Monster Hunter has already built that kind of randomized, item reward into the gameplay.

Supermoon trilogy: Biggest and brightest 'wolf moon' tonight
I think overall, when the skies allow, the moon should make it seem a lot brighter outside along with the snow. Thomas snapped this photo over Newquay on New Year's Day evening, showing the harbour bathed in moonlight.

During a live stream in Japan today, Capcom announced new details and a trailer for the upcoming launch of Monster Hunter: World which is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 26, 2018.

Capcom is squeezing in one last Monster Hunter: World beta before the action RPG charges onto consoles later this month.

Finally, the company talked about their plans for post release support, including both DLC and regular free content updates. The second trailer is a sneak peek at the Deviljho Update, the first of several free patches - featuring new quests, monsters and armor - set to debut in 2018. The Monster Hunter World Starter Packs include either a black or white 500 GB PS4, as well as a copy of the game. The PC release, as we learned just a couple of days ago, is not due until autumn this year.
