The injured girl, who was not identified, was transported to Parkland Hospital with unknown injuries. There is only one high school in the town.

Italy High School was placed under lockdown, as was Stafford Elementary School in reaction to the shooting. Sheriff's officials say the boy was found and taken into custody without incident.

Joffre said the district is now working to reunite parents with their children.

Shook says she had complained about the suspect at least twice before to school officials, including a vice principal.

The official cause of Halladay's death was blunt trauma - he had rib, leg, liver, lung and spleen injuries - and drowning. It notes that morphine can sometimes appear in the system as a result of heroin use, according to TMZ sports.


Italy High School is located off Interstate 35E close to U.S. Highway 77 and State Highway 34-about 15 miles south of Waxahachie.

He said he had no information on her condition.

The Ellis County Sheriff's Office confirmed the shooting on Twitter.

A spokesperson for Ellis Count Sheriff's Office said: 'The kids are being moved, under guard to the dome as the investigation continues. Murray declined to release additional details.
