Marvel's Runaways & Future Man Get Season 2 Orders From Hulu

Hulu has renewed both shows for second seasons, TV Guide has learned.

Both shows are getting a 13-episode Season 2 order. Runaways had a 10-episode first season, which fared well among critics and audiences and landed the No. 6 spot on our Best Superhero TV of 2017 list. When six L.A. teens stumble onto a bad secret, they realize their parents have been lying to them all their lives. That news comes as no surprise for the former series because there was plenty of anticipation leading up to its debut and it has received a fair amount of good buzz in its first season.

The season finale of "Marvel's Runaways" launches tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 9. Schwartz and Savage also served as executive producers with Jim Chory and Marvel's Head of Television Jeph Loeb. It is the story of six diverse teens who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe-their parents.

Future Man stars Josh Hutcherson as a janitor who receives a visit from commandos from the future who inform him that he's the key to saving their civilization from annihilation.

At Hulu, Runaways and Future Man are part of a scripted originals roster that includes Emmy and Golden Globe victor The Handmaid's Tale, Harlots, The Looming Tower, Shut Eye, Hard Sun, Castle Rock and The First, among others. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg (This Is the End, Preacher, Superbad), Matt Tolmach (Spider-Man, Jumanji, Rock That Body) and James Weaver (This Is the End, Neighbors, Preacher) executive produce. The series stars Josh Hutcherson who gets recruited by a mysterious organization to travel trough time to save humanity from extinction.
