Henry County police searching for armed robbers

Police say they received calls about a man armed with a rifle at the Walgreens in Hamburg late Wednesday night.

The Henry County Police Department has issued a BOLO for a suspect in several store robberies. According to police, the first suspect was armed with a shotgun while the second suspect approached the counter, knocked merchandise to the floor and grabbed the cash register. Authorities say the clerk was the only person in the store at the time of the robbery.

Surveillance video from outside of the apartment shows the three suspects, police said.

He added that both children and pregnant women are among those at higher risk due to the flu, as are people over the age of 63. However, some have chronic health problems and the flu can lead to complications ranging from moderate to life-threatening.


The suspect is described as a white man who stands about 5 feet 10 inches, weighs about 200 pounds, and has brown hair and a brown mustache, Alston said, and also stated he was driving a black hatchback. Troopers searched the area for the suspects, but were unable to locate them.

At approximately 7:25 p.m. a robber wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark trousers, black mask and gloves armed with a black pistol entered Z1 Express gas station, located at 650 Second St., and demanded cash.
