All eyes will be on whether Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will return to Borussia Dortmund's starting line-up at Hertha Berlin today, with the star striker reportedly chasing a move to Arsenal.

The switch between Manchester United and Arsenal for Alexis Sanchez and Henrik Mkhitaryan has set a precedent and the German club are now pushing for a similar deal.

Aubameyang, meanwhile, was spotted on Friday playing a five-a-side match in a Dortmund football hall wearing Ousmane Dembele's jersey.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that "nothing is happening" with regards to the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund.

Aubameyang didn't take kindly to what was said to him and replied: 'Bla, bla, bla next step is the jail.

"We find it respectless to talk about a player from another club", said Zorc, who added that Aubameyang has this week "trained well and is focused" on regaining his Dortmund place.

"At some point you can't tolerate it any more", the club's sporting director Michael Zorc said this week.

"There is a way back into the team, even if it needs some professionalism now and for someone to admit that a mistake was made in some situations". "It all seems to be OK but nobody really knows what is going on in his mind".

Would Aubameyang displace anyone in the Arsenal what might have been XI?

MailOnline's Simon Jones reported Dortmund have already rejected an offer for their striker worth £40 million and are seeking "at least £53 million" to part ways with their man.

Aubameyang was the Bundesliga's leading goalscorer last season, finishing the campaign with 31 goals and has hit 13 in 15 games this term.

Mkhitaryan is arguably far more suited to Arsenal's system than United's and while Romelu Lukaku is deceptively quick, he doesn't boast the blistering pace Aubameyang does.
