Google's Pixel AR stickers are available starting today

The sticker packs include characters from the upcoming Star Wars film Episode VI: The Last Jedi and Netflix's Stranger Things, as well as foodmoji, 3D text and celebration stickers such as champagne and balloons. You can also resize stickers with a pinch-to-zoom gesture.

Google has finally released its Augmented Reality (AR) Stickers for Pixel smartphones.

If you want to try out the new AR Stickers, you need a Pixel 2 or an OG Pixel running Android 8.1.

The thing AR Stickers is it's limited to only the Pixel and Pixel 2. Many of you might remember that not so long ago, Google's idea for AR on smartphones was confined to a much narrower scope that involved the use multiple cameras and depth sensors to achieve the effect.

Your Pixel must be running Android 8.1 Oreo. If walking past a landmark in a new city or discover a painting in a museum, just open up the Assistant on Pixel and tap the Lens button (or simply squeeze the sides of your Pixel 2 phone) to get more information about what user is looking at in real time.

The Google Pixel 2 XL is getting a temporary price cut in India and is now retailing at a best buy price of Rs. 64,999 for the 64GB variant and Rs. 73,999 for the Pixel 2 XL with 128GB storage. This app does not work on its own - it's part of the standard Google camera app.
