"They deserve their own match at Royal Rumble", said Stephanie McMahon, WWE Chief Brand Officer.

The "Billion Dollar Princess" Stephanie McMahon returned to Monday Night Raw this week to drop an absolute BOMBSHELL of an announcement.

The 31st anniversary of WWE's famed Royal Rumble will be a special affair on Sunday, Jan. 28 as the company announced Monday night there will be not one but two versions of the match held at the pay-per-view, the second being contested by female wrestlers. Female performers are role models, inspiring and empowering women and girls to be confident and strong.

There are now 22 female competitors on Raw and SmackDown, meaning if the event is to include 30 people - as is the case with the men's match - then some non-main roster talent must be used.

Knifeman Shot at Amsterdam Airport
The Marechaussee police service said the "situation is safe" and the suspect has been detained and removed from the scene. In addition, the Amsterdam airport's terminal was evacuated but has since reopened.

Elias is the first entrant in this year's Royal Rumble. WWE is committed to family friendly entertainment on its television programming, pay-per-view, digital media and publishing platforms.

Paige has been there since the early stages and really helped jumpstart the process of bringing women into the spotlight of the WWE Universe once more.

The Raw and SmackDown divisions will compete in the first women's Royal Rumble next month, WWE has confirmed. The event will be available for you to watch either on PPV or the WWE Network.

WWE Monday Night Raw is heading to Miami for New Year's Day night (Monday, Jan. 1, 2018) at the AmericanAirlines Arena, home to the three-time National Basketball Association champion Miami Heat.
