Congress MLA Asha Kumari slapped a woman constable in Shimla on Friday after she was denied entry to Congress President Rahul Gandhi's review meeting. "She abused me and pushed me, she should have shown restrain, I am her mother's age, but yes I agree I should not have lost my temper". Not ready to hold back, the constable slapped her back and this was caught on camera by bystanders. "I am sorry for the incident", Kumari said.
Following this, she got agitated and to the shock of everyone slapped the lady constable.

Kumari in her complaint accused the woman police of repeatedly slapping, manhandling, threatening to kill and stopping her from entering the Congress office during party President Rahul Gandhi's visit to Shimla on Friday.

When the incident happened, Rahul was inside the party office where he was meeting MLAs, defeated candidates and local leaders to discuss the defeat of the Congress.
Kumari won from the Dalhousie seat in the recent Himachal Pradesh election. In the meeting, Rahul Gandhi was expected to meet the party legislators. The party lost to the BJP after being reduced to just 21 seats in the 68-member Assembly.
