Pennsylvania state police Lt. Eric Hermick tells WTAE-TV multiple shots were fired Wednesday afternoon near a Penn State Beaver dining hall.
Pennsylvania State Police said an employee of the university was shot and killed by her estranged husband before he killed himself in a campus parking lot, a local CBS affiliate reported.
Hermick said it wasn't a random event. The threat is now contained, she said. A lot of screaming in the parking lot area.
Police are investigating where Kelly purchased the guns and say there was no protection from abuse order filed against him.

The short-handed unit lost left tackle Riley Reiff to an ankle injury, and it suddenly starting to look like last year's line. They gave up another first quarter score before making some nice adjustments and forcing a few punts in the second quarter.
The couple had three children, whom police say are with their grandparents.
The Penn State Beaver campus in Monaca was placed on lockdown after the man shot his ex near her vehicle just before 4 p.m., State Troopers told KDKA. This was never an "active shooter" event.
"We know none of our students were involved", said April Johnston-Smith of Penn State Beaver Public Relations. "It appears to be some type of domestic violence issue here".
The campus' official Twitter account confirmed that the shooting occurred and the campus was closed but would reopen on Thursday.
