Trader Joe's Chicken & Turkey Salad Recalled after Discovering Hard Plastic & Glass

These three salads were recalled by Trader Joe's after it was found that they could contain glass or hard plastics. Turkey Cranberry Apple salads have been recalled in Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon and Washington states. The salads expire on November 21.

Trader Joe's shoppers, you might want to check your labels.

All of the affected salads have a code P-40299 within the "Inspected by U.S. Dept. of Agriculture" stamp on the packaging.

The company announced that the supplier informed them of the potential hazard for white meat chicken salad, curried white chicken deli salad and turkey cranberry apple salad. The products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

The chain apologized and urged customers to discard the products or return them for a refund.

The recalled white meat chicken and curried white chicken deli salads were sold in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, or Texas.

The USDA said the recall involves ready-to-eat chicken and turkey salads produced between November 4 and Wednesday by Green Cuisine.

Trader Joe's has since removed all affected products from its shelves.
