The house arrest could be served at the Hyatt Regency Hangzhou, which is where the Bruins team has been staying on their trip to China. His father, LaVar Ball, is also in China and told ESPN he was "going to wait until I get more intel on what's going on" before commenting.

No further information about the UCLA players' status beyond Saturday's game in China was immediately released. The three are now at that hotel and will not take part in Friday's game against Georgia Tech in Shanghai.

An unnamed source told ESPN that police came to the team hotel early Tuesday morning to apprehend the student-athletes.
