Facebook Stories might be livelier now.
However, unlike Twitter's voting polls, the Instagram user can actually see who has voted on their Stories. One still can not post Facebook Stories on Instagram Stories, unless Facebook brings in that feature too.
In a bid to boost the popularity of the Stories feature on Facebook, the company had rolled out Stories for desktop users earlier this year in August, and now they seem to be taking on a new approach to growing its popularity.
Users can add a poll when adding a picture to their Instagram "story", and can see what their followers choose. "We are always working to make it easier to share any moment with the people who matter to you", a Facebook spokesperson told the publication. Well, this is also one of the reasons for Facebook to allow direct posting of Instagram Stories on Facebook Stories.

Eight months after launching Stories - a ripoff of Snapchat's feature of the same name - Instagram in April announced that more than 200 million people use it every day and low key bragged that its version is more popular that Snapchat.
Last month Instagram confirmed its testing the feature to Mashable but didn't share any other information. Facebook's own Stories feature has been slower to take off.
The feature was eventually updated to include public sharing - a move that some reviewers said caused their engagement to skyrocket higher than engagement on typical newsfeed posts.
Many called the introduction of Stories to the newsfeed a last-ditch effort to get the feature to catch on with Facebook users.
