You need to flip the phone upside down to take a selfie and adjust similarly to make a video call. Xiaomi has also removed the piezo-electric speaker that was used in the Mi Mix and went with a usual speaker for the Mi Mix 2's earpiece.
It is fitted with a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display that produces an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chip and you can fill in the corresponding top-end specs yourself for the rest of the hardware yourself, for such a phone. Xiaomi, in the past, has launched a smartphone over Rs 20k.

The Mi Mix 2 in a black garb is up for grabs for a price tag of Rs 35,999. The phone was first announced in China where it sells in three variants and a special edition. I did not test the camera of the phone, but as per Xiaomi' stock photos shown at the launch event, the phones looked great. It will feature a f/2.0 aperture, which supports facial recognition. It has pioneered the trend of full-screen display smartphones. In terms of connectivity, the device offers up to 43 global LTE bands, which are supported over 210 worldwide territories. The device has all the requisite sensors on board. The phone has no 3.5 mm headphone jack either.
The smartphone packs in a 3400mAh battery which can last for more than a day of regular usage. The smartphone is backed by a 3,400mAh non-removable battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0 using the 9V/2A (18W) power adapter. There was no mention of any other variants at the launch event. This confirmation from Xiaomi's VP Xiang Wang came as pleasant surprise, since the first generation Mi Mix eluded the Indian market and disappointed fans of the device.
In addition to the Mi Mix 2, the Chinese company also introduce the Mi noise cancelling earphones on Tuesday.
