Bridgewater dislocated his left knee and tore multiple ligaments on August 30, 2016, and hasn't played or practiced since. If cleared he would return to practice and the Vikings would have three weeks to decide on activating him or placing him on injured reserve, something that would shut Bridgewater down for a second consecutive season and likely toll is expiring contract through the 2018 season.

Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer on Monday announced that Teddy Bridgewater has been cleared medically to return to practice.

He has been on the physically unable to perform list and will visit his surgeon in Dallas on Monday. Thoughts of amputation were certainly not out of the question as the young Vikings quarterback was being transported to a nearby medical facility.

Bridgewater is eligible to begin practicing Monday.

Even the echo of the devastating power of the explosion of the part of the emergency services. "This was very frightful incident". Another witness Hamdi Elmi, who was near the scene, said the explosion was deafening and shook the entire surrounding area.

The Vikings (4-2) have had injury trouble in the quarterback position with Sam Bradford battling his own knee injury since Week 1. That's allowed him to stay involved in team meetings, which could help him adjust to the fact the Vikings implemented a new scheme from a different offensive coordinator (Pat Shurmur) since the last time Bridgewater played in a game.

Zimmer said Bradford is doing "pretty good" and wouldn't speculate on if he will practice this week. "He hasn't practiced in 14 months, so we're not going to (overdo it) Wednesday". So a Week 10 return to the 53-man roster against the Washington Redskins is possible, with Bradford's health and Keenum's level of play still to determine how the depth chart looks that Sunday.

Imagine how loud U.S. Bank Stadium would be that Sunday as the quarterback hits the field for his first regular season home game since 2015. "I'm playing quarterback, and I love to play quarterback. I can go out and play quarterback and have fun".
