The much-awaited trailer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming period drama "Padmavati" starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor is out and it is sure to leave you awestruck!

A Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial, the trailer depicts inspiring chapters of Indian history on the silver screen.

The film has Deepika playing the titular role of Rani Padmavati, Shahid will be seen as Maha Rawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer is playing the main antagonist Allaudin Khilji.

The three-minute video opens on a grand canvas showcasing the vast expanse of Chittor's fort and moves to beautiful, love-filled visuals of Rani Padmavati (Deepika) and Ratan Singh (Shahid).

However, with 8 points from five outings, their campaign could be all over if Group E leaders Egypt defeat Congo on Sunday. The GFA says it is questioning the disallowed 93rd-minute goal and penalty, as well as other decisions by the officials.

In the meantime, Ranbir Kapoor, ex-boyfriend of Deepika Padukone, is dying to watch "Padmavati" as he has been left flabbergasted by the looks of Deepika, Ranveer and Shahid. Ranveer Singh, who is playing the character of Alauddin Khilji in the movie, will make his fans go insane. The looks of the cast members have piqued everyone's interest from the average movie buff to Ranbir Kapoor to Karan Johar. Padmavati was the queen of Chittor and she is believed to have killed herself rather than letting Khilji capture her.

Talented filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is directing and producing the "Padmavati" film. Since the movie Padmavati is based on the same event, the makers chose this odd timing.

The trailer does an excellent job in building the emotional high rather than dazzle us with big budget spectacle which is precisely opposite of Bajirao Mastani, directors previous attempt. The film also stars Jim Sarbh and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles in important roles. It is co-produced by Viacom 18 Pictures and Bhansali Productions. The movie will release on December 1, and the trailer has already made us irresistible to wait.
