"I feel ready for it, honestly".

The decision has been supported by Toro Rosso's 2018 engine supplier Honda, who stated that while they wanted Gasly to remain with the F1 team, they are happy for him to contest the Super Formula final if the team finds a replacement.

He was released form their young driver programme in July 2010, going on to unsuccessfully trial for the Mercedes two years later before finding a home in endurance racing.

"Eventually [after moving] I made some friends, like Brendon Hartley, who was racing in the same series that year so I could relate to him, he was from the same part of the world and a Red Bull driver at the time so he was someone I was trying to aspire to", Ricciardo said.

Russian Kvyat has since returned to Toro Rosso and will partner Hartley in Texas, after Spaniard Carlos Sainz, who has scored 48 of the Red Bull second-string outfit's 52 points so far this season, left for Renault last week.

"What an incredible feeling", said the 27-year-old.

Court sides with National Football League , enforces Ezekiel Elliott's suspension
He would be eligible to play again on November 30 at home against Washington, a Thursday night game the week after Thanksgiving. In its ruling, the 5th Circuit agreed with league attorneys who argued that Elliott prematurely sued the league September 1.

He can win a second World Endurance Championship with the factory Porsche team if results go his way this weekend in Japan.

Less than a year later he began providing testing in Mark Webber's place after the Aussie had suffered an injury, and for the 2009 season was the official reserve driver for both Red Bull and Toro Rosso.

Scuderia Toro Rosso have confirmed that New Zealander Brendon Hartley is to race for the Italian marque at the Circuit of the Americas next weekend.

He has raced in the Le Mans 24 Hours each year since, while also competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship since 2014.

New Zealand's Brendon Hartley reacts in the pit. "In the early days walking down the road, he had to have a stride ahead of you", Smith said. However, the rumor goes that Kvyat threatened to quit Formula One and Toro Rosso should he not get his seat back. It is a dream come true for a Kiwi to do what he is doing. "The fact that Formula 1 can look into this championship and say, "We need to choose a driver from here", I think that [shows] the level of drivers and level of teams and these programs", Bamber said.

"With all the racing experience accumulated over the years, we are convinced that he will do a fantastic job for us".
