Xiaomi a year ago chose to take on Apple in the laptop market, introducing the Notebook Air as a rival to the MacBook and MacBook Air. It packs an all metal body with aluminium alloy and magnesium alloy chassis.
Well, the specifications on the new Notebook Pro looks good enough, however we have to get our hands-on to this device to know the actual performance of it. Stay tuned with us for more updates on this laptop. The Mix 2 features a 5.99-inch Super AMOLED 18:9 display, unlike the 6.4-inch 17:9 display seen on the Mi Mix. All the variants feature 256GB of SSD storage and offer a DDR4 RAM.
Regarding the specifications, the Mi Notebook Pro has a 15.6-inch display with has a Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 for the protection of the notebook screen. There's a Core i7 model clocked up to 4GHz with 16GB RAM, while another model features a smaller 8GB RAM. This particular quad-core CPU has a base frequency of 1.80GHz (i7-8550U) or 1.90Ghz (i7-8650U), depending on the exact model, while also being able to operate at up to 4.0GHz and boasting 8MB of Intel's proprietary SmartCache.

At first glance, the Mi Notebook has a lot going for it. To top that up, Xiaomi is using a symmetrical super cooling system to keep the temperature under control on the inside.
Available ports include 2 USB 3.0, 1 HDMI, 2 USB Type-C and a card reader that supports either an SDHC or SD or SDXC card.
As reported by Engadget, the keyboard is also impressive, with a 1.5mm key travel. Besides, it also comes with a Harman Infinity custom built speakers and Dolby Atmos certification. Finally, the Mi Notebook Pro will be available with Intel's Core i5 processor and 8GB RAM. Impressively, the laptop works a little similarly to Apple's offering, starting with the trackpad, which has a kind of Force Touch feature that is also found on the MacBook Pro.
The Core i5 processor and 8GB RAM variant is priced at 5699 Chinese Yuan ($874 or RS. 55,883 approx).
