Oxlade-Chamberlain: 'Inspirational' Jurgen Klopp key to Liverpool move

The England worldwide joined the Reds from Premier League rivals Arsenal on transfer deadline day last week, moving from London to Merseyside for a fee of £35m.

The Liverpool captain had to wait patiently for his message to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to sink in because, apparently, Henderson had spent the last five years trying to convince his fellow England global to switch clubs.

However, the midfielder was mocked on Twitter after being named on the bench for Liverpool's Premier League clash against Manchester City.

The Arsenal legend explained on Sky Sports: "He spoke on the Liverpool website about that he could see Klopp making him a better player and that there's a love and togetherness".

The former Everton defender said Oxlade-Chamberlain's ability to play in a number of positions could eventually cost him a shot at being a truly exceptional player in one position.

Despite having watched the 24-year-old plenty of times during his six years at Arsenal, Henry is still unsure exactly what Oxlade-Chamberlain does well.

It was a unusual last few days of the transfer window for Arsenal. He can play in numerous positions as well, similar to me. Did it? I think he (Oxlade-Chamberlain) was not worse than any other player on the football pitch.
