Ninety7 Battery Packs Make Amazon Echo And Google Home Portable

Maybe it's also the first ever for the Google Assistant-powered speaker and we can expect it will be followed by more from other manufacturers as well.

The new Ninety7 DOX is a portable battery for the 2nd Generation Amazon Echo Dot, created to provide rechargeable, cord-free mobility at home or on-the-go.

This portable battery replaces the base on your Google Home, allowing you to use it tethered (with Google Home's existing power adapter) or cordless thanks to its 8 hours of battery life. The Dox looks more compact than the Vaux, and the Vaux only offered six hours of battery. I suspect some of that is because Google carefully hid the Home's size with a taper, whereas the Loft continues to flare outward. The Loft is estimated to get eight hours of battery life; and since Google's product is created to be a speaker, this whole thing makes a bit more sense, as it could let you take the Home into your backyard while you're grilling, or whatever it is people do in backyards.

LOFT does not come with audio boosting capabilities, but it does make your life easier by making your Google Home unit portable.

Lukaku ruins Rooney's return to Old Trafford
Everton gamely hung on until Kevin Mirallas came on for Rooney, who left the pitch to measured applause from United fans. Gary Neville has praised Antonio Valencia , and called him one of the best defenders Manchester United have.

While you can do all sort of things with your Google Home like ask questions, set reminders, control your smart home or play music, the device still has to be plugged in while you do them.

Similar to the Amazon Echo Dot, Google Home Mini will be a smaller version of the company's Home smart speaker. The introductory price of the Ninenty7 LOFT is also lower at $39.95 from the $49.95 retail price.

Do you own a Google Home smart speaker? With LOFT, Google Home can easily be used as a portable Bluetooth speaker. Ninety7 will start shipping the product this October. Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
