New England Schools Rank Among Best in Nation

Misericordia earned a ranking of 261 out of the 711 schools listed, climbing 222 places in the national ranking since 2015. There are 659 regional universities ranked: 259 of them are public universities, 388 are private and 12 are for-profit.

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) and Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) are India's strongest providers of highly employable graduates, while the University of Delhi is the country's leading provider of highly successful alumni, according to the latest QS Graduate Employability Rankings. The Pamplin College of Business was ranked No. 45 overall and No. 40 among public schools for undergraduate business education.

BU remains one of the country's top schools for undergraduate engineering in this year's ranking.

U.S. News & World Report has released its 2018 college rankings, and two Alabama institutions lead their divisions as top picks for veterans. Student retention, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, alumni giving and graduation rate are also factors taken into consideration.

Xavier and UC were on the list for A+ schools for B students, a category described as where "nonsuperstars have a decent shot at being accepted and thriving". Average earnings per student exceeded $10,300 previous year, and about two-thirds of graduating co-op students at UC get job offers from their co-op employers.

The AFA also was singled out for Best Civil Engineering Program among public schools, second-best aerospace/aeronautical/astronautical program, tied for fourth best in electrical/electronic communications and ranked fifth best in mechanical engineering.

The U.S. News rankings consider institutions' performance on up to 15 measures of academic quality, as well as on how they are perceived by their peers.

The magazine also rated the undergraduate business programs of national universities based on surveys of business school deans and senior faculty.
