20-year-old Isaiah Wright has been charged, along with his brother Camion D. Patrick, with one court of criminal homicide in the July 25, 2017 death of 18-year-old Caleb Thomas Radford of Maryville, Tennessee.
Wright and Patrick first made headlines when they were featured on "Last Chance U", a Netflix documentary series that follows the East Mississippi Community College football team, where both brothers previously played. Two other men were arrested in connection with the case on August 3 and held on $1 million bail. Alcoa (Tennessee) police say Patrick was taken into custody by Indiana University police.
Wright's 2016 season at EMCC was a major storyline on "Last Chance U".
Canelo Alvarez Predictions: Who You Got?
I wrote at the time this was confirmed, this is a fight of the decade. GGG has to rely more on his power than his boxing skills as well.
Patrick also starred at East Mississippi, leading the Lions to a national title in 2014 before enrolling in IU at the beginning of 2015.Academics, however, kept him on the scout team for that season.
Patrick, a student at Indiana University, was arrested Wednesday night by campus police, awaiting extradition back to Tennessee. Wright grew up with a combustible temper, said he trusted no one, and often clashed with taskmaster head coach Buddy Stephens on the show. He came back from injury and appeared in 10 games in 2016 while catching six passes for 154 yards and a touchdown. In Season 2, Wright and Patrick spoke about their challenging upbringing.
As for Patrick, his football career was blighted by injury and although he was granted full scholarship via a "medical hardship waiver", meaning he would have been allowed to complete his studies without playing football, he has been suspended following this news.
