Star said Alfred Angelo was taking dress orders Wednesday.

"I was literally here 3 days ago and they didn't tell me anything", said one bride as she waited for a store employee to let her in.

All over social media, brides-to-be are talking about the dressmaker going out of business.

On its website, Alfred Angelo still has a sale going on all its in-store bridal gowns and bridesmaid dress.

Patricia Redmond responded to our inquiry and said, "Yes, the company has closed all stores and is filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy". We spoke to a bridesmaid who told us her dress is paid in full but she has been given no information on how to pick it up.

"So I showed up to pick it up but it's the wrong dress, but they're not doing any new orders of production of dresses", says Toscano.

Capozzola and others have been calling the store, corporate headquarters, customer service and emailing the address provided on the closing sign. Mollie Frish, a seamstress at the Alfred Angelo store in Manchester, Connecticut, said employees were advised at the beginning of their shift on Thursday morning that it would be their last day of work.

Just a block away from Alfred Angelo's shop, Cause for Paws thrift shop was trying to get the word out Friday that it has more than 100 wedding gowns for sale. "I'm glad orange is my wedding color because I'm gonna be married in jail if I can't get my dresses", tweeted Ashley Austin.

The company has over 60 stores across the nation and its gowns and dresses are sold at more than 1,400 wholesale stores worldwide, according to the WSJ.
