There's also a new channel called Sky Sports Main Event, which will showcase the biggest live sporting events.

Existing customers will see the new package sync automatically onto their current deal.

For customers with more specific sport interests, Sky introduced a choice of smaller channel packages.

The relaunch also follows NBC's creation of the Premier League Pass, a US$50-a-year streaming platform that will carry 130 live games a season and will be available without a cable subscription.

Sky Sports Cricket - every home England match and domestic cricket coverage will appear here. For the first time, supporters of a Premier League team, for example, can ditch the overall package and pay £18 per month for access to the Premier League channel.

But for BT TV customers the news is now less positive.

The best worldwide rugby union, rugby league, boxing, darts, NFL, tennis and more will feature on the new Sky Sports Action and Arena channels, while our Main Event channel dedicated to the biggest live events - exclusively available to customers with the full range of Sky Sports channels - means you won't miss the big moments, whatever the sport.

Meanwhile a new channel, Sky Sports Arena, will host a range of other content including rugby and tennis. Our experts, including Gary Neville, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, Jamie Redknapp, will continue to deliver cutting-edge analysis and we'll discuss the hottest topics with a new nightly Premier League debate show. The upcoming Premier League season will be a bumper season for Sky, and the promise of 126 live matches for £18 a month could be a more tempting prospect than trying and failing to find a reliable internet stream.

Sky Sports Golf - The Open Championship, US Open and many other golfing events will be on this dedicated channel.

A monthly rolling NowTV subscription to Sky Sports is now UK£33.99, with daily and weekly passes also available. Viewers can choose to buy two channels for £22 and three for £26.

"If you love Premier League, you can enjoy it for as little as 60p a day or you can have the full Sky Sports package for less than £1".
