Severe thunderstorms headed to parts of NJ

If a severe storms does develop, a warning would then be issued. All of Northeast Ohio is under a "slight risk" for severe weather, meaning scattered severe thunderstorms are possible but short-lived with strong winds and a chance for hail. The National Weather Service in Duluth stated stronger storms may produce heavy rain, occasional lightning and small hail.

Earlier: The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Arlington County, in effect until 9 p.m. tonight.

Chances of precipitation are 70 percent.
