Perhaps the biggest sign that the 76ers' tank is over is that a reputable free agent wants in. He also provides position flexibility for head coach Brett Brown to experiment with lineup combinations utilizing Simmons and Fultz because of Redick's experience both as a shooting guard and a ball-handler bringing it up the floor from the point.

Last season, Redick averaged 15.0 points and drilled 42.9 percent of his threes on a career-high six long-range attempts per game. The news was initially broken by Redick, who tweeted out a phrase that has become a rallying cry for the franchise. In fact, I actually didn't like the idea of them pursuing Redick, because I feared that the veteran guard would command at least a three-year deal.

Amazon Prime Day 2017
Amazon Prime Day is the Seattle-based e-commerce giant's biggest sale in the US-what the local media calls "Christmas in July". An average Prime subscriber spends $1,300 annually with the company, while non-Prime members spend about $700.

Redick has averaged 11.9 points in 690 games over 11 National Basketball Association seasons. The Timberwolves and Nets were also pursuing Redick, per the report. That's a potential playoff team right there.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN first reported the deal and Redick, 33, confirmed the signing on his Twitter account Saturday, writing "Trust the process" - a reference to the 76ers' rebuilding slogan. He signed as a free agent with the Clippers the following season.
