A former Michigan State football player who says he was punched in the jaw by Draymond Green last summer has filed a lawsuit against the National Basketball Association star, and Green is confident the suit will go nowhere.

Green then turned to his entourage, according to Bloom. Green does not seem too anxious about the lawsuit, however, telling ESPN that he is confident things will be resolved soon.

"This lawsuit relates to an incident that occurred in East Lansing, Michigan, over a year ago, for which Draymond paid a noise violation fine", the statement said.

Now, Green is facing a civil suit regarding the case.

The couple is represented by attorney Lisa Bloom, at whose office the news conference will take place.

Green was arrested in July 2016 for allegedly hitting Edmondson, and later pleaded a misdemeanor assault charge down to a civil infraction. Edmondson responded by telling Green he could at least say "excuse me". There are nights where I wake up crying.

Green also issued a statement to ESPN. When Williams tried to intervene, she said another man grabbed her by the neck and pushed her against a wall.

The Golden State star could have faced a $500 fine and up to 90 days in jail if found guilty.

Additionally, another source said that Green did not know who the Ohio-native was when he approached him that day.

"I need Draymond Green to admit what happened and that Bianca and I didn't deserve to be assaulted", said Edmondson, who confronted Green after the incident at Conrad's.

"The filing of this lawsuit was a last resort", Bloom said. "Mr". Bloom has represented a number of celebrity clients including Kathy Griffin and Blac Chyna, and said she feels Green never properly accepted responsibility for his role in the events that transpired in MI.
