Jon Snow's Birth Name Revealed?

The season six finale of Game of Thrones revealed (at long last) that Jon Snow is not Ned Stark's bastard, but rather the son of his sister Lyanna and Rhaegar Targaryen.

THE real name of Game Of Thrones hero Jon Snow may have been revealed online, blowing open all the theories about who he is actually related to.

In the brief preview, it also says that Bran suddenly has the power in his hands to change the entire story. And, a Reddit user now claims to even know the real name of Jon Snow. Jon Snow has been crowned King in the North by his countrymen, Cersei has seized the Iron Throne in the South, and Daenerys Targaryen sails to Westeros to reclaim it with a massive, multicultural invasion force. Since the discovery of this secret, many fans have wondered what could be the real name of Jon, that one does not hear when Bran has the vision that reveals the real identity of his brother.

It's weird that Empire buried the name within the article, especially since it's a giant-size spoiler for Season 7, if true.

Tigers' Victor Martinez out of the hospital
Martinez will not accompany the team on their seven-game West Coast trip to Seattle and San Diego, beginning on Monday. The Detroit Tigers and designated hitter Victor Martinez can now breathe a sigh of relief.

I do post about Ice & Fire and GAME OF THRONES whenever there is actual news to report.

As Uproxxreports, according to some fans proficient in lip-reading, Lyanna whispers the name "Jaehaerys" to Ned in the scene. If you wish to remain as pure as the driven Jon Snow, then do not proceed past this point. Since the excerpt was shared on Reddit, Empire contributor Dan Jolin clarified that Jon's name is in no way confirmed and this report was simply based on the lip-reading of dedicated fan Claire Williams, who is credited as first popularizing the Jaehaerys theory past year.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO on July 16 and will be simulcast on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the United Kingdom at 2am.

If Lyanna was in love with Rhaegar (as seems likely), it makes sense for their son to have a Targaryen traditional name like his siblings Aegon and Rhaenys. If you needed any further hint that Jon Snow is destined to become one of those dragonriders, this is it. It's highly possible that Lyanna gave Jon a *very* Targaryen name, like Jaehaerys. The war was a way to get her back just as much as it was a rebellion against the "Mad King" Aerys Targaryen.
