The gist of it is pretty simple. Other phones which are either confirmed or speculated to get the Android O update are Nokia 6 and yes, OnePlus 3 and 3T. Well, there's good news for those who have been agonizing over the numeric designation of the upcoming system update: Google has finally listed Android O as Android 8.0.0 in Android O's Developer Preview 3.

The update ain't about flashy features, and instead, Google is hoping to improve the user experience through "vitals", which will see it focus on improvements to battery life, stability and security. If you've bought a Pixel device from Deutsche Telekom, Verizon, T-Mobile, Fi Carriers, and Roger, there are separate builds released for it.

Google said the most serious security vulnerability the update patches is a Media Framework issue "that could enable a remote attacker using a specially crafted file to cause memory corruption during media file and data processing".
