The congressman grievously wounded when a gunman opened fire at a Republican baseball practice is delivering a Father's Day message through his Twitter account.

The FBI has contacted at least one of the three congressmen to inform them of their inclusion on the list.

Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., and four others were injured in the shooting before U.S. Capitol Police fatally shot Hodgkinson.

"Many lives would have been lost if not for the heroic actions of the two Capitol Police officers who took down the gunman despite sustaining gunshot wounds during a very, very brutal assault", Trump said. Scalise, 51, sustained injuries to internal organs, broken bones and severe bleeding after being shot in his left hip early on Wednesday at a baseball field in a suburb of Washington.

She said she was married to James Hodgkinson for almost 30 years but they have not been together since March, when he moved to Washington, D.C.

Trump lawyer says president isn't under investigation, despite tweets
Trump is under pressure to reveal whether he has any tape recordings of private conversations with Comey. ABC News reported that, in fact, Mueller had not decided yet whether to investigate the president.

In a statement, the hospital said Scalise "continues to make good progress".

Hodgkinson was a Democrat and supporter of the presidential campaign of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.), had a deep hatred of Republicans and fired 50-100 shots.

There is no doubt about the shooter's politics.

He led the effort calling on the Obama Administration to reverse its unconstitutional mandate forcing religious organizations to include drugs that can cause abortion and birth control in the health care plans of their employees. Federal Bureau of Investigation officials said none of Hodgkinson's posts pertaining to Republicans could be considered threats.

Who was Hodgkinson before this near deadly attack in Virginia?
