Camden Council ordered residents from some 600 apartments at Chalcots Estate to evacuate late Friday as a precaution after fire inspectors found problems with the blocks' fire doors and gas pipes. Arconic, which split from Alcoa in 2016, said in a statement it sold Reynobond PE - a lightweight aluminum panel with a polyethylene core - to the fabricator in 2015 to be used as one component of the building's exterior.

The tower's cladding - panels widely used to insulate buildings and improve their appearance - may have been a factor in rapidly spreading the June 14 blaze.

Leeds council has launched an urgent fire safety action plan for the city's private sector high rises following the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

"The facade, installed past year at Grenfell Tower, in panels known as cladding and sold as Reynobond PE, consisted of two sheets of aluminum that sandwich a combustible core of polyethylene".

"US courts have become less keen to hear cases which have really occurred in and have strong links to other jurisdictions", he said.

Cladding samples from 60 high-rise buildings in 25 local authorities across the country have so far failed fire safety tests.

Meanwhile, farmers and civilians were ordered to stay away from the Valley of Tears, New Quneitra, and open areas. The projectiles were spillover from the fighting near Syria's disputed border with Israel, the army said.

Speaking in response to a Commons statement from Mr Javid, Ms Dent Coad said: "I've heard this morning, shockingly, that people who have concerns about their immigration status or lack of documentation are still not coming forward and sleeping rough".

Local authorities and housing associations must act immediately to ensure public safety regardless of cost, as the Government will offer financial assistance, Mr Javid said.

"And until the Grenfell Fire many experts would have claimed that system has served us well".

"Older towers, in particular, should have thorough safety audits to look at the effectiveness of alarm systems, internal sprinklers/fire dispersal and fire-safe means of escape among other things".

"In view of the focus on rainscreen cladding systems and the insulation forming part of them, Celotex believes that the right thing to do is to stop the supply of Celotex RS5000 for rainscreen cladding systems in buildings over 18 meters tall with immediate effect, including in respect of ongoing projects, pending further clarity".

He said the fact all tested samples had failed the so-called combustibility test underlined the "vital importance of submitting samples urgently".

Cladding, both from Arconic and others, has been widely used on low-income housing in the United Kingdom in recent years, in an apparent attempt to beautify older structures as London and other cities become more gentrified.
