The pricing for Sprint Essential Phone is now unknown, however, the unlocked Essential phone is available for $699 on the official Essential website. OpenSignal continues to rate Sprint as the worst network compared to rivals.

The Essential Phone will start shipping out to customers by the end of the month.

It was confirmed yesterday that this handset will be exclusive to Sprint in the United States and will be compatible with other carriers as well.

"We like to bet with where we think the market is going as opposed to where the market was", Essential President Niccolo de Masi tells USA Today. Those materials may make the phone more resistant to drops and scratches than aluminum and other more commonly used elements.
