NBC's SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE Delivers Most-Watched Season Finale in Six Years

EW reports that the actress's contract was up as of last night's season finale and she is leaving the show.

Sasheer left amongst two other members departure, Bobby Moynihan and Vanessa Bayer who previously announced their exit.

Unlike Moynihan, who left the show because his sitcom, Me, Myself & I, was picked up by CBS, there was no stated reason for Bayer and Zamata's departures. The 31-year-old comedienne joined the cast of SNL in 2014 and performed her last show last night on the finale of season 42.

Bayer brought back a recent but popular character of marble-mouthed meteorologist Dawn Lazarus for her farewell show.

Over the course of her four seasons on the NBC series, Zamata embodied characters and celebrity impressions including Michelle Obama, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Lupita Nyong'o, Taraji P. Henson, and Janelle from "How 2 Dance with Janelle".
