LSU coach Paul Mainieri, upper right, is separated from Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn (2) by an umpire as they discuss a collision at second base during the fourth inning of the championship game in the Southeastern Conference NCAA college baseball tournament, Sunday, May 28, 2017, in Hoover, Ala.

The win puts Arkansas in the SEC Tournament championship game for the first time since 2007, where it will face two-seed LSU at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. It only took the Hogs seven innings to dispatch the Tigers and Spanberger's record-setting three home runs and seven RBIs set the tone for the game.

Hunter Newman had a shaky ninth inning, allowing Eric Cole's two-out RBI single, before closing things out for his 10th save. Both teams won their games by the run-rule, LSU over SC and Arkansas over Florida.

Runs scored by Kramer Robertson and Cole Freeman upped their four-game tournament total to 15, almost half the 34 scored by the team in Hoover.

And if that wasn't bad enough, there's this: The Tigers didn't record a hit against three Arkansas in the seven-inning contest, marking the first time in program history they have been no-hit in a game. Like Spanberger, Dominic Fletcher and Eric Cole also homered, had three hits and scored three runs.

Mendoza's seventh homer this season, a three-run shot to right, followed his solo blast to the same area in the seventh that drew the eighth-seeded Seminoles (39-20) within 3-2. His hit total tied for the second highest out of all tournament players, trailing teammate Jax Biggers, who finished with 10. With runners at second and third and one out in the second, Walker struck out Koch and retired Gates on a line drive to Zach Watson in centerfield. "I mean, he just didn't look like he was enjoying himself out there too much". But that would be all the Razorbacks would muster off Walker (7-1), who scattered five hits and struck out eight. Over his last eight games, all 12 of his hits have gone for extra-bases, with nine in the form of home runs.

"It was a pretty bold strategy, I'd say, because Luke is just as good a hitter as I am", he said. The Hogs used five pitchers in the ninth inning alone.

The Razorbacks were playing their second game of the day. He was nearly as good in the SEC tournament title game Sunday. Going back to the final regular-season series at Texas A&M, Spanberger's base hits have been home runs.

"Up until then I thought we were still engaged". LSU made a decision to intentionally walk the hard-hitting first baseman to load the bases for Bonfield. "It's kind of hard to believe looking back that seven walks and we can't score a run or eventually get a hit".

Next, South Carolina now awaits word on the announcement of the 64-team field for the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

SC finished the SEC Tournament with eight homers and now have 58 on the year.
